We've got some great opportunities to witness, workshop and even write your own wondrous words!

First, don't forget about the Actors' Theatre Shakespeare Gala spring fundraiser on April 23, 24 and 25! Director Bill Peters is renowned for making Shakespeare's text and tales moving, illuminating and understandable for both actors and audiences alike. Join Bill and 31 other actors, as well as a lively band of musicians, on a magic carpet ride of language, love, and learning to celebrate the birthday and work of the one and only William Shakespeare! Read more about it in this blog post, and donate to attend HERE.
Hone your skills or learn something new as our workshop series continues with some exciting offerings for speakers, actors, playwrights, and lovers of the bard.

There are still a few spots left in Joanna Cazden's "The Voice of Your Life," a 4-session class that will address the fundamentals of technique and vocal wellness and build appreciation of your own personal voice as a multi-dimensional channel for art and life. Held on Mondays, April 28 through May 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Sign up HERE.

Then, starting June 23, our Monday night workshops continue with "The Actor's Toolbox." Christopher Peak and Suzanne Schrag team up to offer 6 sessions to help actors build their craft and enhance their performances. Each session will explore a specific technique to deepen your work physically, vocally and textually—to lead to greater freedom of expression in your body, voice and intention. We hope to make this an ongoing series to keep the "actors" part of Actors' Theatre alive, connected and constantly growing. June 23, 30, July 7, 21, 28 and August 4, from 6:30 to 9 pm. Learn more and sign up HERE.

In early fall, just in time to help you ready a submission for the 2027 8 Tens @ 8 Short Play Festival, Wilma Marcus Chandler offers "Writing Your 10-Minute Play: A Workshop for Imagining, Creating, Polishing & Submitting Your Script." Have an idea for a play? Join others in bringing those ideas to the page and the stage! Topics will include: developing your ideas, characters, plot line, settings, style and genre, pitfalls, formatting, and submission opportunities. Saturdays, Sept. 20, 27 & Oct. 4 & 11,from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Learn more and sign up HERE.
And then, on fall Mondays still to be determined, Bill Peters once again will offer his Acting Shakespeare workshop. Come to the Shakespeare Gala! Get inspired!
